THE ROLE
· Run technical discovery with clients, EPCs, and consultants — load profiles, tariffs, demand charges, DG runtime, footprint — and turn incomplete inputs into a defensible design basis.
· Size and specify the system: energy/power ratings, chemistry, PCS, BMS, EMS, protection, thermal and fire systems; for mobile BESS, genset load-following and hybrid control strategy.
· Build bottom-up costing and project economics (BOQs, capex/opex, LCOS, payback, IRR) and maintain the vendor cost database.
· Write and defend technical/commercial proposals; run tenders end to end — RFP interpretation, compliance statements, pre-bid queries, bid packages.
· Work daily inside our AI-assisted sizing and proposal tools — sanity-check every output (you own the numbers, not the tool), and contribute fixes, templates, and edge cases back into them.
· Hand over a clean design basis and BOQ to execution, and feed field learnings back into our standards.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
· B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Power, Energy, or Mechatronics; 3–8 years in BESS, solar+storage, hybrid power, or EPC design with hands-on sizing and estimation ownership; a track record of producing a complete costed proposal independently; strong Excel-based financial modeling; working knowledge of IEC 62933/62619, UL 1973/9540, NFPA 855, IEEE 1547, and CEA/DISCOM codes; clear written English; hands-on expertise in AI-assisted engineering workflows and tools — not just comfort using them.
· Working expertise with Claude is required; experience with Claude Code is a plus.
Nice to have
· Mobile/containerised BESS or DG-hybrid control experience; international market exposure; HOMER Pro, PVsyst, ETAP, or AutoCAD/EPLAN; PSU/DISCOM tender experience.
