Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in the Paper Bag Manufacturing Industry. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in managing production operations, improving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and leading manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
- Monitor production efficiency, quality, and cost control measures.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reduce production downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Dispatch departments for smooth operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.
- Analyze production reports, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Train and develop production supervisors and shop-floor employees.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP (if applicable), and company SOPs.
- Manage production planning to meet customer delivery schedules.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in Paper Bag Manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of paper converting processes and bag-making machines.
- Expertise in production planning, process optimization, and capacity utilization.
- Good understanding of quality systems and manufacturing KPIs.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and Kaizen.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 10+ years of production experience in the Paper Bag Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience in handling large production teams and multiple production lines.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
