About the Role
Zaatar Restaurant is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Calicut outlet. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a customer-first mindset, and proven experience in managing restaurant operations, staff, and profitability while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, cleanliness, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures and operational checklists.
Team Management
- Lead, train, supervise, and motivate restaurant staff.
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Customer Experience
- Ensure guests receive exceptional service and hospitality.
- Address customer feedback, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Build customer loyalty through consistent service excellence.
Financial & Inventory Management
- Monitor daily sales, expenses, and operational costs.
- Ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
- Manage inventory levels, stock control, and supplier coordination.
- Minimize wastage and optimize resource utilization.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Coordinate with management regarding operational improvements and business growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in restaurant management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety standards, and customer service.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management, and reporting tools.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in casual dining, Arabic cuisine, or multi-outlet restaurant operations will be an added advantage.
