We are looking for a skilled and dedicated OT Technician (Anesthesia) to support the anesthesia team in delivering safe and efficient patient care during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing anesthesia equipment, assisting anesthesiologists, maintaining OT readiness, and ensuring compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and check anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors, and related equipment before procedures.
- Assist the anesthesiologist during induction, intubation, and administration of anesthesia.
- Ensure availability of airway devices, emergency drugs, IV fluids, and anesthesia consumables.
- Monitor and maintain anesthesia equipment during surgical procedures.
- Maintain sterile techniques and follow infection prevention protocols.
- Assist in patient positioning and safe transfer before and after surgery.
- Clean, disinfect, and restock anesthesia equipment and OT supplies after each procedure.
- Maintain OT documentation, equipment logs, and anesthesia checklists.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate timely maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and quality protocols.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or Anesthesia Technology.
- Relevant certification from a recognized institution.
- 1–3 years of experience in an Operation Theatre (preferred).
