Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead and manage key Finance & Accounts functions, including financial reporting, costing, taxation, inventory valuation, compliance, and audits. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in a manufacturing environment and be capable of handling financial controls and statutory requirements independently.
Key Responsibilities
Costing & Manufacturing Finance
- Track manufacturing expenses and analyze material, labour, and production cost variances.
- Monitor production costs, wastage, overheads, and cost-control measures.
- Prepare and analyze product/process costing and provide insights for cost optimization.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Oversee inventory valuation, physical stock verification, and periodic reconciliations.
- Ensure proper accounting and valuation of raw materials, finished goods, and other inventories.
- Identify and monitor inventory variances, wastage, and stock-related discrepancies.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare MIS and management reports for financial and operational decision-making.
Taxation & Compliance
- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, Customs Duty, and other direct and indirect tax matters.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Manage tax assessments, notices, reconciliations, and related documentation.
- Support tax planning and ensure effective tax compliance.
Audit
- Coordinate and manage statutory, tax, internal, and cost audits.
- Liaise with auditors and provide required financial records and supporting documents.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.
Requirements
- Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience: 10–12 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Strong experience in manufacturing/FMCG, preferably edible oil or food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, taxation, inventory valuation, financial reporting, and audits.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Customs.
- Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/SAP preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with experience in manufacturing plants, FMCG, edible oil, food processing, or consumer goods will be preferred.
