About the Role We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer with hands-on experience in Gatling (Scala-based) performance testing to design, execute, and analyze performance tests, ensuring application scalability, stability, and reliability under varying load conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in performance engineering, SQL, API testing, monitoring tools, and CI/CD practices. The role requires a deep understanding of application architecture, workflows, and non-functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts using Gatling.
- Understand application architecture, workflows, and non-functional requirements.
- Gather and analyze performance requirements, including concurrent user load, response time SLAs, and throughput requirements.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations.
- Plan, execute, and analyze various performance testing activities, including load testing, stress testing, and spike testing.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance during test execution and analyze logs, metrics, and traces to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Execute SQL queries for performance analysis and identify slow-running queries, query response time issues, and database bottlenecks.
- Validate REST API performance and scalability using tools like Postman and Swagger.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git/GitHub.
Requirements
- 6-9 years of experience in Performance Testing with strong hands-on expertise in Gatling, performance analysis, and monitoring tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of cloud environments and distributed system architectures.
- Exposure to application performance tuning and capacity planning.
