About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations and statutory compliance for government projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of finance, taxation, payroll support, statutory regulations, and banking operations, along with the ability to handle accounts independently and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site and vendor payments through net banking.
- Record and maintain accounting transactions in Tally.
- Handle bank reconciliation and monitor day-to-day cash flow.
- Support payroll processing and employee-related finance activities.
- Manage PF & ESI registrations, monthly compliance, employee onboarding, and exit formalities.
- Process Full & Final (F&F) settlements and complete PF & ESI closure for exiting employees.
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory returns within timelines.
- Create Delivery Challans (DC) and E-Way Bills as required.
- Prepare MIS reports and maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitor project expenses and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Coordinate with auditors during statutory and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with government project accounting requirements and applicable financial regulations.
- Maintain organized accounts documentation and support management with financial information whenever required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
- Hands-on experience in Excel, especially formulas & data handling
- Proficiency in Tally ERP / SAP
- Solid understanding of basic & advanced accounting principles
- Good communication & documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and handle deadlines
Preferred Candidate
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Experience in companies executing Government/Infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of handling end-to-end accounting operations with minimal supervision.
Qualification:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
