Diagnostic Imaging
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as prescribed by the referring physician.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and obtaining necessary information.
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
- Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
Patient Care
- Verify patient identity and examination requests before the procedure.
- Provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients.
- Assist elderly, critically ill, and immobile patients during imaging procedures.
- Monitor patients for any discomfort or adverse reactions during procedures.
Radiation Safety
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
- Use appropriate shielding and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure radiation exposure is kept to the minimum required.
- Maintain radiation monitoring devices as per regulatory guidelines.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine equipment checks before each shift.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately to the Radiology Manager or Biomedical Engineering team.
- Ensure imaging rooms are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
Documentation & Records
- Maintain accurate patient and examination records.
- Upload images to the PACS/RIS system promptly.
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures and reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Radiologists, referring physicians, nurses, and other departments.
- Assist in emergency imaging procedures as required.
- Support inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and emergency department imaging services.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Radiography / Medical Imaging Technology (B.Sc. Radiography or equivalent).
- Registration with the relevant State Paramedical Council (where applicable).
- Valid certification as per statutory requirements.
Experience
- 0–2 years: Junior Radiographer (Freshers may be considered).
- 2–5 years: Experienced Radiographer in a multi-specialty hospital preferred.
- Experience in ICU, Emergency, OT, and portable imaging is an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in operating X-ray and CR/DR imaging systems.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and Hospital Management Systems (HMS).
- Strong patient handling and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
