We have an immediate requirement for an Science Teacher – Sustainability Program at our L B Nagar - Branch.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to lead our Sustainability Program. The role goes beyond classroom teaching to build environmental awareness, drive hands-on projects, and integrate sustainability across the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Delivery: Teach Science subjects with a strong focus on environmental science, climate change, ecology, and sustainable development concepts
2.Program Development: Design and implement sustainability-focused modules, activities, and school-wide campaigns like waste audit, energy conservation, water management, and biodiversity projects
3. Experiential Learning: Conduct lab experiments, field trips, garden-based learning, composting, recycling drives, and tie-ups with NGOs/eco-clubs
4. Student Engagement: Mentor students for science fairs, Olympiads, and sustainability challenges like Green Schools, Earth Day, etc.
5. Cross-disciplinary Integration: Collaborate with other departments to embed sustainability in math, social science, art, and life skills
6. Assessment & Reporting: Track student progress, maintain documentation of projects, and report program impact to school leadership
7. Community Outreach: Organize awareness sessions for parents and local community on sustainable practices
Required Experience and Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2+ Yrs of experience as Science Teacher with Excellent Communication Skills
Qualification:
Graduates/ Post-graduates with excellent communication. if, B.Ed added as an advantage.
