A Store and Purchase Executive manages the entire supply chain lifecycle, bridging vendor procurement with inventory management. They source quality materials, negotiate pricing, process Purchase Orders (POs), and oversee daily store operations like receiving, tracking, and distributing stock to prevent shortages and optimize inventory value.
Key Responsibilities Purchasing & Procurement
- Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers. Negotiate pricing, bulk discounts, and favorable payment terms.
- Order Processing: Prepare and issue POs, track deliveries, and expedite delayed shipments.
- Cost Analysis: Research market trends to achieve cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Store & Inventory Control
- Stock Monitoring: Maintain optimum stock levels and establish reorder points to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Coordination & Compliance
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Align with Production, Sales, Project, and Finance departments to meet material requirements on schedule.
- Documentation: Ensure accuracy of essential paperwork (e.g., Delivery Challans, GRNs, and Invoices) for Accounts.
- Compliance: Enforce company procurement policies and regulatory standards
- Material Handling: Manage the physical receipt, storage, and issuance of goods using methodologies like FIFO/FEFO.
- Audits & Reconciliation: Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records to ensure accuracy.
