FAS & PAS Engineer – Fire & Life Safety Systems

ROLE OVERVIEW
The FAS & PAS Engineer will be responsible for the design coordination, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and integration of Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) and Public Address / Voice Evacuation Systems (PAS) for projects executed by Technocrats.
The role requires strong technical understanding of life safety systems, adherence to NBC / NFPA / project specifications, and effective coordination with consultants, clients, OEMs, and other system integrators to ensure reliable and compliant system operation.

- Emergency Messaging Systems
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. System Design Coordination
- Review project specifications, BOQs, and drawings
- Support preparation of:
- Shop drawings
- System architecture diagrams
- Cause & Effect matrices
- Device layouts
- Ensure compliance with:
- NBC fire safety codes
- NFPA standards
- Consultant specifications
2. Installation Supervision
- Supervise installation of:
- Fire detectors
- MCPs
- Sounders / hooters
- speakers
- control panels
- cabling infrastructure
- Ensure installation follows approved drawings and OEM guidelines
3. Testing & Commissioning
- Perform:
- Loop checking
- Point-to-point testing
- Functional testing
- Cause & Effect verification
- Coordinate OEM engineers for final commissioning.
4. System Integration
Ensure integration between:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Public Address / Voice Evacuation
- BMS
- HVAC shutdown systems
- Fire fighting systems
- Elevator recall systems
5. Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain:
- Test reports
- Commissioning reports
- As-built drawings
- Device addressing lists
- System configuration backups
Support fire authority inspections and approvals.
6. Client & Consultant Coordination
- Participate in technical meetings with:
- Consultants
- PMC
- Client engineering teams
- OEM partners
- Resolve technical queries and site coordination issues.
7. Troubleshooting & Maintenance Support
- Diagnose system faults and resolve communication issues
- Provide technical support during project handover and early operation phase
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
3–6 years in installation and commissioning of:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Voice Evacuation Systems
- Integrated Fire & Life Safety Systems
Experience with leading OEM platforms such as:
- Honeywell
- Bosch
- Siemens
- Edwards
- Notifier
- Morley
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Addressable FAS configuration
- Cause & Effect programming
- PAS zoning configuration
- Fire safety standards compliance
- Electrical wiring diagrams
- System troubleshooting

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
