A PRT EVS Teacher is responsible for teaching Environmental Studies to students of Classes I–V and helping them understand nature, society, health, and their surroundings through activity-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver EVS lessons according to the school curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, projects, and teaching aids.
- Conduct interactive activities, experiments, nature walks, and field visits.
- Assess student learning through classwork, homework, projects, and tests.
- Maintain student records, report cards, and progress reports.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage environmental awareness, civic responsibility, and good habits.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, meetings, and training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.Sc.)
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) preferred or mandatory in most schools.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to use digital teaching tools.
