ASSISTANT MANAGER – DIGITAL MARKETING (SEO Specialization)
The Assistant Manager - Digital Marketing (SEO Specialization) is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing comprehensive search engine optimization strategies to enhance the organization's online visibility and drive qualified organic traffic. This role bridges tactical implementation and strategic planning, supporting the Digital Marketing Manager in overseeing SEO initiatives while managing junior team members and ensuring alignment with broader digital marketing objectives and business goals. The position requires a blend of technical SEO expertise, data-driven decision-making, and leadership capabilities to manage campaigns, mentor team members, and deliver measurable ROI.
Strategic SEO Development & Execution
- Develop and refine SEO strategies aligned with organizational business objectives, market trends, and competitive landscapes
- Create and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies including technical optimization, content optimization, and link-building initiatives
- Monitor and adapt SEO strategies based on algorithm changes and competitive movements
- Ensure website technical health by identifying and resolving crawl errors, indexation issues, and site speed optimization
- Collaborate with content teams to ensure all digital content is optimized for search engines while maintaining readability and user engagement
Team Management & Development
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, including Digital Marketing Executives and SEO Specialists
- Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and identify training and development needs for team members
- Delegate tasks appropriately based on team capabilities and ensure balanced workload distribution
- Set clear performance expectations and monitor team productivity against established KPIs
- Conduct training sessions on SEO best practices, tools, and industry updates
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
Campaign Management & Optimization
- Plan and execute SEO campaigns across multiple channels including organic search, content marketing, and technical SEO initiatives
- Manage SEO project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with web development, content creation, and design teams to implement SEO recommendations
- Perform A/B testing, landing page optimization, and user experience improvements to enhance conversion rates
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics against defined KPIs and business objectives.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor organic search traffic, keyword rankings, click-through rates, and conversion metrics using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other analytics platforms
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly performance reports for senior management highlighting trends, opportunities, and challenges
- Analyze competitor SEO strategies and provide actionable insights for competitive advantage
- Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate SEO performance to stakeholders
- Identify optimization opportunities through regular website audits and user behavior analysis
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Digital Marketing Manager to align SEO strategies with paid marketing, social media, and email marketing initiatives
- Coordinate with IT and web development teams on technical SEO implementations
- Liaise with content creators to ensure content aligns with SEO requirements and user intent
- Support sales and business development teams with SEO insights that drive lead generation and customer acquisition
- Participate in marketing strategy meetings and contribute SEO perspective to organizational planning
Tools & Platform Management
- Manage and maintain proficiency in key SEO platforms including Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Moz
- Implement and manage marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms
- Stay current with platform updates and leverage new features to enhance campaign performance
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance to team members on tool utilization
- Manage crisis communication protocols and response procedures for digital channels.
Requirements
- Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in SEO and digital marketing
- Minimum 2+ years in a team leadership or supervisory role
- Proven track record of successfully managing SEO campaigns that resulted in measurable organic traffic and revenue growth
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing junior team members
- Portfolio of successful SEO projects showing year-on-year improvement in rankings, traffic, and conversions
- Experience with e-commerce SEO, B2B SEO, or enterprise-level websites (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with SEM, social media marketing, and content marketing (desirable)
- Experience in the Indian market and understanding of local search behavior (desirable)

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
