We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Site Engineer (Civil) who is eager to learn and grow in the field of residential construction.
Job Summary
The Junior Site Engineer will assist the Senior Site Engineer in the day-to-day execution and supervision of construction activities. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience who are looking to build a successful career in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising day-to-day construction activities at project sites.
- Monitor work execution as per approved architectural and structural drawings.
- Ensure construction work complies with quality standards and project specifications.
- Assist in monitoring labour productivity and contractor performance.
- Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR), site records, and measurement books.
- Verify quantities of work executed and assist in contractor billing.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants for smooth site operations.
- Monitor material receipt, usage, and wastage at site.
- Assist in supervising RCC work, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, finishing, and other civil activities.
- Identify and report construction issues to senior engineers for timely resolution.
- Ensure housekeeping and safety practices are maintained at the project site.
- Support project planning to ensure work progresses as per schedule.
Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
- Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in residential or commercial construction.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of RCC construction and building execution.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong willingness to learn and take responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under site conditions.
Preferred Skills
- Internship or training experience in residential construction.
- Basic understanding of BOQ, quantity estimation, and billing.
- Knowledge of construction materials and site safety practices.
