Job Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Commis 1 to join our dynamic kitchen team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a Commis 1, you will be a vital part of our culinary operations, working under the guidance of our Chef de Partie and Sous Chef. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a collaborative, supportive environment while contributing to exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Prepare mise-en-place and assist in cooking a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and established cooking methods

Execute food preparation tasks with precision, ensuring proper portion control and minimal food waste

Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization of your assigned station throughout service

Store and handle food items in compliance with HACCP guidelines and food safety standards

Assist in receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients

Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours

Demonstrate strong attention to detail in plating, presentation, and food quality standards

Actively participate in continuous learning opportunities to enhance culinary knowledge and technical skills

Communicate effectively with team members and respond promptly to instructions from senior kitchen staff

Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent qualification

Certification or Diploma in Culinary Arts from a recognized institute (preferred)

Basic knife skills and fundamental food preparation techniques

Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles

Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately

Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment for extended periods
