Position/Designation: General Manager Operations

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR GM-CIVIL:
Key Responsibilities:
1.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Company power plants to ensure optimal energy generation.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
• Monitor performance metrics (e.g., plant load factor, capacity utilization, downtime).
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
2. Strategic Planning
• Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies aligned with company goals.
• Evaluate new technologies and innovations for efficiency improvements.
3. Budgeting & Cost Control
• Prepare and manage budgets for operations and maintenance (O&M).
• Track operational expenditures and optimize cost-efficiency.
• Analyse financial data related to plant performance and identify areas for improvement.
4. Compliance & Safety
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations (e.g., environmental, grid codes).
• Maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Conduct safety drills, audits, and employee training programs.
5. 5. Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff according to various plants.
• Define KPIs and review employee performance.
• Ensure staffing levels are adequate and align with operational needs.
6. Stakeholder Coordination
• Liaise with utility companies, regulatory bodies, EPC contractors, and equipment suppliers.
• Provide operational reports and updates to top management.
7. Technical Oversight
• Review plant performance reports and analyse technical issues affecting generation.
• Supervise remote monitoring systems (SCADA, data loggers).
• Oversee upgrades, retrofits, or repairs of major equipment like inverters, transformers, etc.
8. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain records of plant operations, maintenance logs, incident reports, and compliance audits.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports for internal and external stakeholders.
9. Sustainability & Innovation
• Integrate sustainability goals such as minimizing water usage and maximizing energy yield per acre.
• Promote digital transformation through data analytics, AI/ML-based forecasting, and automation tools & Digital Training.
10. Business Development
• Evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships, and joint ventures from the technical perception Conduct market research and feasibility studies to evaluate potential energy projects or expansions.
• Build relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and potential clients.
• Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and policy forums to enhance company visibility
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare proposals, bids, and investment decks.
Required Qualification: Civil Preferred and Engineering must with Minimum 5 years of experience in power management experience preferred.
