Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive International Travel Operations & DMC Executive to manage the end-to-end operational execution of international holidays.
The role involves DMC coordination, supplier management, rate negotiation, itinerary preparation, costing, booking confirmations and post-sales trip handling. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of international destinations and be capable of independently managing travel arrangements from booking confirmation through completion of the trip.
This is NOT a ticketing, hotel front-office, reservation or sales-only position.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with international DMCs, ground handlers, hotels and other overseas suppliers.
- Identify and onboard reliable DMCs and destination suppliers.
- Negotiate competitive rates for hotels, transfers, sightseeing, excursions, activities and other travel services.
- Prepare and negotiate FIT and group tour itineraries based on client requirements.
- Obtain quotations from DMCs and compare rates, inclusions, exclusions and terms.
- Prepare accurate tour costing and ensure commercial viability.
- Design practical, attractive and well-structured international itineraries.
- Coordinate with Sales team to understand client requirements and convert them into workable travel arrangements.
- Take complete ownership of bookings after the sale/confirmation.
- Coordinate with DMCs and suppliers for booking confirmations, vouchers and operational details.
- Ensure all hotels, transfers, tours, guides, activities and other services are reconfirmed before travel.
- Handle booking amendments, cancellations, special requests and last-minute changes.
- Coordinate with overseas partners to resolve operational issues during the trip.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams whenever assistance is required during travel.
- Maintain regular communication with DMCs and ensure timely responses and confirmations.
- Monitor supplier service quality and address complaints or service issues.
- Maintain accurate booking records, costing sheets, supplier details and operational MIS.
- Coordinate with Sales, Visa, Accounts and Management teams for smooth execution.
- Conduct post-trip follow-up and assist in collecting client feedback.
- Develop strong long-term relationships with international DMCs and suppliers.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in International Travel Operations / DMC Operations / Tour Operations.
- Hands-on experience dealing with international DMCs and overseas suppliers.
- Experience in preparing customized FIT itineraries and tour packages.
- Good understanding of hotel, transfer, sightseeing and activity arrangements.
- Experience in rate negotiation and tour costing.
- Good knowledge of international destinations and travel products.
- Strong supplier follow-up and coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle last-minute operational requirements.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
