Job Description – Project Manager (Civil)Job Summary
The Project Manager – Civil will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing civil construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within approved budget, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute civil construction projects from start to handover.
- Prepare project schedules, manpower plans, material requirements, and execution strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Monitor site progress, project milestones, quality, and overall productivity.
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, work orders, and technical documents.
- Supervise site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workforce.
- Coordinate procurement and ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
- Monitor project costs, measurements, contractor bills, and budget utilization.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Identify project risks, resolve technical/site issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress review meetings.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and project MIS.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, snag rectification, and final project handover.
- Maintain proper project documentation and ensure client satisfaction.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in civil construction/project execution.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, BOQ, estimation, billing, and quantity measurement.
- Experience in managing contractors, subcontractors, manpower, and site activities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.
