Job Summary
Atchayam Trust is looking for a caring and responsible Social Worker to support shelter home residents. The role includes counselling, rehabilitation support, case follow-up, and coordination with families, hospitals, police, and government departments when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide counselling, care, and guidance to shelter home residents
- Maintain resident case files, daily reports, and documentation
- Coordinate with hospitals, police, and government departments when needed
- Support rehabilitation, reintegration, and follow-up work
- Assist residents in getting ID proof and accessing welfare schemes
- Ensure safety, discipline, and wellbeing of residents as per shelter rules
- Attend field visits, rescue support, and emergency duties if required
- Work as a team with shelter staff and follow instructions from the reporting manager
Qualifications & Skills
- MSW / BSW / Sociology / Psychology (Preferred)
- Freshers can apply (experience is an advantage)
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Must be patient, respectful, and service-minded
- Willing to work in shift duty / emergency duty as per Atchayam Trust HR policy
Salary
As per experience and qualification (Negotiable)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
