Experience:
10+ Years (Preferably in the Interior Manufacturing, Modular Furniture, Woodworking, Plywood, Joinery, or Factory Manufacturing Industry)
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
MBA in Operations Management is an added advantage.
Job Summary:
Chief Production Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all production activities to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining optimum productivity, cost efficiency, and safety. The role involves leading production teams, coordinating with cross-functional departments, implementing lean manufacturing practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production plans to meet business targets and customer delivery schedules.
- Oversee daily factory operations, ensuring maximum productivity and efficient resource utilization.
- Lead and manage production managers, supervisors, and shop floor personnel.
- Monitor production KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, rejection, rework, downtime, and OEE.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with Design, Planning, Procurement, Maintenance, Stores, and Quality departments for seamless operations.
- Optimize manpower allocation and machine utilization to achieve production targets.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, environmental, and company policies.
- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Review production reports and prepare MIS for senior management.
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Support new product development by coordinating with engineering and design teams.
- Plan workforce training and enhance employee productivity and skill development.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed in coordination with the maintenance team.
- Drive employee engagement and maintain discipline on the shop floor.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
