Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Production Engineer to manage day-to-day manufacturing and shop-floor activities. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining quality, safety, productivity, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily production activities as per the production schedule.
- Monitor production output and ensure targets are achieved.
- Supervise shop-floor operators, technicians, and manpower.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of man, machine, and material.
- Monitor machine performance, downtime, rejection, and productivity.
- Identify production problems and perform root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce rejection and rework.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Store, PPC, and other departments.
- Ensure production processes follow SOPs and quality standards.
- Maintain daily production reports, shift reports, and other production documentation.
- Monitor and improve OEE, productivity, cycle time, and machine utilization.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure safety procedures and PPE requirements are followed on the shop floor.
- Assist in reducing material wastage, production costs, and machine downtime.
- Support new product/process development and production trials when required.
