Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) supports the Store Manager in driving sales, managing store operations, leading the team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a hands-on approach to achieving store targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive store sales and ensure achievement of revenue targets.
- Monitor key KPIs such as Sales, ATV, UPT, Conversion, and Footfall.
- Lead, coach, and develop Team Leads and Sales Executives.
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle escalations effectively.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and shrinkage control.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, visual merchandising standards, and store policies.
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and daily store operations.
- Support the Store Manager in reporting and overall store performance.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of retail experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of retail operations and sales KPIs.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
