We are currently looking for an experienced GCSE English Tutor (AQA) to teach students through one-to-one online sessions.
Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced English tutor with expertise in the AQA GCSE English curriculum. The ideal candidate should be confident in teaching both English Language and English Literature, helping students develop strong analytical, reading, writing, and examination skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach GCSE English (AQA) through one-to-one online classes.
- Cover both English Language and English Literature as required.
- Help students improve reading comprehension, creative writing, analytical writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and student-focused lessons.
- Adapt teaching methods according to each student's learning needs.
- Provide regular feedback and monitor student progress.
RequirementsMust Have
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Experience teaching GCSE English (AQA).
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of the AQA syllabus, marking schemes, and examination pattern.
- Prior experience conducting online one-to-one classes.
- Stable internet connection, laptop/desktop, webcam, headset, and a quiet teaching environment.
Preferred
- Experience preparing students specifically for AQA GCSE examinations.
- Familiarity with digital teaching platforms and interactive teaching tools.
- Ability to make English lessons engaging and enjoyable for students.
