Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Procurement & SCM (Indirect Opex Sourcing) to lead strategic sourcing, procurement operations, vendor management, and cost optimization initiatives for indirect spend categories across automobile and EV manufacturing operations. The role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, ensuring supply continuity, driving operational excellence, and supporting business growth through effective procurement practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect procurement categories including:
- Facilities Management
- IT Hardware & Software
- Marketing & Advertising Services
- HR & Recruitment Services
- Logistics & Warehousing Services
- Professional & Consulting Services
- Utilities and Infrastructure
- MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)
- Capex-related indirect procurement
- Drive RFQ/RFP/RFI processes and supplier selection.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and process improvements.
- Lead contract negotiations to achieve favorable commercial and contractual terms.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, HR, IT, Facilities, and Operations teams to understand business requirements.
- Ensure supplier compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Cost Management & Budget Control
- Manage indirect procurement budgets and spend analytics.
- Drive annual cost-saving initiatives and productivity improvements.
- Monitor procurement KPIs and procurement performance metrics.
- Support financial planning and budgeting activities related to indirect spend.
Supply Chain & Process Excellence
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of indirect materials and services.
- Implement best procurement practices and governance frameworks.
- Improve procurement processes through digitization and automation initiatives.
- Drive ERP-based procurement processes and compliance.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement professionals.
- Establish performance goals and development plans for team members.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement preferred.
- 12+ years of procurement and supply chain experience with significant exposure to indirect sourcing.
- Experience within Automobile, Auto Components, EV Manufacturing, or Industrial Manufacturing environments.
