Job Description:
Qualifications : Diploma or equivalent in CSSD Technician
B. Sc. OR Undergraduate having sound
Knowledge of the CSSD work process flow
Communication Skills : English, Hindi, Marathi
Responsibilities :
1) Knowledge of and performance in cold sterilization.
a. Must be able to lift, stand and stoop without any physical restriction
b. Knowledge of cleaning, disinfection and sterilization techniques and procedures.
c. Maintains appropriate rotation of sterile supplies.
d. Should know and identify the names of the surgical instrument.
2) Should be able to keep the equipments and material i.e. Gauze Piece, Gamjee Pad and Cotton rolls ready as per the requirement of the Surgeries and the supply needed by the wards.
3) Should posses knowledge in decontamination sterilization, packaging and distribution of instrumentation and supplies.
4) Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly.
5) Should co-ordinate an follow the infection control practices
6) Should maintain registers pertaining to CSSD department as below:
a) Autoclave register
b) CSSD Steam Sterilization records register
c) CSSD material movement register
d) Equipment Logging book maintenance record
e) CSSD quality indicator register
f) CSSD exchange records (Trays etc.)
7) Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
8) Should maintain personal and departmental hygiene and cleanliness
9) Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the department.
10) Identifying each sterilizer load and maintain record of each
11) Preparation of surgical goods and instrumentation for sterilization.
12) Should follow the practice of safe handling of patient care items that have been exposed to blood and / or blood fluid.
13) Report about the broken, misplaced or non functioning equipments to the maintenance or the Bio Medical department.
14) Operate the following equipments :
a) Ultrasonic Washer / dryer
b) Washer distiller
c) Washer / decontamination unit
d) Steam sterilizers : Hi-vac and gravity
e) Ethylen Oxide Steriliser
f) Steris
g) Instrument Marker
15) Monitor efficiency of sterilizer and log
16) Observe safe working habits
17) Participate in job related educational training and departmental meetings.
18) Follow hospital policies and procedures
19) Maintain patient’s confidentiality
20) Perform duties as per the exigencies and assigned time to time by the management
21) All work prescribed the management time to time as per the exigencies.
22) Following the hierarchy policy as per the organogram and working as per the same.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
