Role Overview
The Admissions Counsellor will be responsible for managing the complete admissions journey for KA Preps programs — from the first enquiry to enrolment and onboarding.
This is a consultative admissions role, not a telecalling role.
The candidate must be able to understand a student's academic profile, identify the parent's actual requirement, explain the appropriate KA Preps offering and confidently guide the family towards making an enrolment decision.
Cambridge & IB experience is strongly preferred.
Candidates who have previously worked with Cambridge/IGCSE, A Levels or IB students, parents, schools, coaching organisations or education companies will have a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Management
- Handle incoming enquiries through calls, WhatsApp, email and other channels.
- Respond to new enquiries within defined timelines.
- Understand the student's:
- Current curriculum
- Grade/year
- Subjects
- Academic performance
- Examination timeline
- Learning challenges
- Parent expectations
- Academic goals
- Qualify leads and identify the most suitable KA Preps program.
2. Parent & Student Counselling
- Conduct structured counselling calls with parents and students.
- Understand the underlying academic problem rather than simply taking a course enquiry.
- Explain Cambridge, IGCSE, A Levels and IB academic requirements in a simple and parent-friendly manner.
- Recommend suitable programs based on the student's needs.
- Explain program structure, faculty, duration, methodology, fees and expected outcomes.
- Build trust and establish KA Preps as a premium academic partner.
3. Admissions & Conversion
- Manage the complete journey:
Enquiry → Qualification → Counselling → Trial/Assessment → Follow-up → Enrolment → Onboarding
- Follow up consistently with qualified leads.
- Handle objections related to fees, timing, program suitability, online/offline learning and competition.
- Convert qualified leads into paid enrolments.
- Maintain a strong admissions pipeline.
- Ensure that every serious enquiry receives appropriate and timely follow-up.
4. Trial Classes & Assessments
- Coordinate trial classes and academic assessments.
- Explain the purpose and outcome of assessments to parents.
- Follow up after trial classes.
- Coordinate with academic teams to obtain relevant feedback.
- Communicate feedback professionally to parents.
- Move qualified students towards enrolment.
5. CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all leads and interactions.
- Update CRM/lead management systems on a daily basis.
- Track:
- New enquiries
- Qualified leads
- Counselling calls
- Trial classes
- Follow-ups
- Admissions
- Revenue
- Lost leads
- Reasons for non-conversion
- Prepare regular admissions reports for management.
6. Coordination With Academic Team
- Coordinate with educators and academic coordinators regarding student requirements.
- Ensure the right faculty/program is recommended to each student.
- Communicate relevant student information to the academic team.
- Ensure a smooth transition from admissions to academic onboarding.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- 2–5 years of experience in education counselling, admissions, student enrolment or consultative sales.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to handle parents and students professionally.
- Strong follow-up discipline.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Comfortable working with targets and conversion metrics.
- Good knowledge of CRM/Google Workspace/WhatsApp and digital communication tools.
- Willingness to work on-site in PCMC, Pune.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
