Site In-Charge – Technical & Soft Services
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site In-Charge with a strong technical background and proven expertise in soft services management to oversee day-to-day facility operations. This role requires a hands-on professional who can bridge technical requirements with service delivery excellence, ensuring optimal building performance and occupant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management Lead daily site operations encompassing both technical building systems and soft services delivery. Ensure all facility operations meet established standards, client requirements, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate between technical teams and soft service providers to maintain seamless facility performance.
Technical Oversight Monitor and manage building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and access control systems. Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are executed effectively. Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with specialized contractors for complex repairs.
Soft Services Coordination Supervise soft services including housekeeping, security, pest control, waste management, landscaping, and front-of-house services. Develop and implement service schedules, quality standards, and performance metrics. Conduct regular audits to ensure service delivery meets client expectations and contract specifications.
Vendor and Team Management Manage relationships with multiple service providers and contractors. Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs. Lead, mentor, and coordinate site-based teams to ensure cohesive service delivery and professional development.
Compliance and Safety Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate documentation including permits, certifications, inspection records, and incident reports. Conduct safety briefings and emergency response drills.
Client Interface Serve as primary point of contact for client facility matters. Address occupant concerns promptly and professionally. Prepare regular reports on facility performance, service delivery metrics, and improvement initiatives.
Budget and Resource Management Monitor operational expenses against budgets. Optimize resource utilization while maintaining service quality. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or performance standards.
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or related technical field. Relevant certifications in facility management, building operations, or safety management preferred.
Experience BE Electrical-Minimum 9-10 years in facility management with demonstrated experience in both technical building operations and soft services supervision. At least 2-3 years in a site leadership or supervisory capacity managing integrated facility services.
Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of building mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC operations, fire and life safety systems, and building automation systems. Working knowledge of maintenance practices, energy management, and sustainability initiatives.
Soft Services Expertise Proven experience managing housekeeping operations, security services, landscaping, pest control, and other soft service functions. Understanding of hygiene standards, cleaning protocols, and service quality benchmarks.
Skills and Competencies Excellent problem-solving abilities with capacity to make sound decisions under pressure. Strong leadership and team coordination skills. Effective communication abilities across all organizational levels. Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office applications. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
