Job purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior System Administrator to manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Windows Server administration, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, networking, and data center operations. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, automation capabilities using PowerShell, and experience in maintaining secure, highly available infrastructure.
Core responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft infrastructure services.
- Administer VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, clusters, vMotion, HA, DRS, and vSAN.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and storage provisioning.
- Perform backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery operations using Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain infrastructure monitoring using Zabbix, including alerting and performance reporting.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, coordinate remediation activities, and ensure infrastructure compliance with security standards.
- Manage endpoint security solutions, including antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and endpoint protection platforms.
- Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting.
- Perform routine infrastructure health checks, patch management, firmware upgrades, and capacity planning.
- Participate in data center operations, including server installation, rack and stack, cabling, hardware replacement, power management, and environmental monitoring.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware support, warranty services, and issue resolution.
- Support infrastructure migration, upgrade, and modernization projects.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes while ensuring adherence to ITIL best practices.
- Provide Level 2 support for infrastructure incidents and collaborate with L3 teams for complex technical issues.
- Participate in planned maintenance activities and provide on-call support when required.
Required experience and skills:
- 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Administration.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 administration.
- Strong experience in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience managing VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Experience with SAN/NAS storage and Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration.
- Experience with Zabbix or similar infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Strong knowledge of patch management, security hardening, and infrastructure security.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and firewall fundamentals.
- Experience supporting data center operations, including hardware installation, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills with experience supporting high-availability production environments.

- Experience managing production environments with high availability requirements.
