Job Summary
The Purchase Officer is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, products, and services required by the organization. The role involves sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, issuing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and maintaining procurement records while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers and vendors.
- Source materials and services according to company requirements.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining the required approvals.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with stores, production, accounts, and other departments regarding purchase requirements.
- Verify supplier quotations, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Maintain accurate purchase orders, supplier records, quotations, and procurement reports.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
- Assist in vendor evaluation, selection, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure purchases comply with company policies, approved budgets, and specifications.
- Resolve issues related to quality, quantity, delivery, and pricing with suppliers.
- Support inventory planning and avoid stock-outs or unnecessary excess purchases.
- Prepare regular procurement status and cost reports for management.
Required Skills

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
