The Senior Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning and development programs that align with organizational goals. This role involves identifying skill gaps, creating training content, and working closely with internal stakeholders to enhance employee performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Needs Analysis: Conduct regular training needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and consultation with managers to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
- Program Design & Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules tailored to business needs.
- Content Creation: Design instructional materials, including presentations, manuals, and job aids, using best practices in adult learning principles.
- Facilitation: Lead interactive training sessions, both in-person and virtual, ensuring an engaging and effective learning environment.
- Evaluation: Measure training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Partner with department heads and HR teams to align L&D initiatives with company goals and employee development plans.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior L&D team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Reporting: Maintain training records and prepare reports on program effectiveness, participation, and ROI.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in learning and development, corporate training, or a related role.
- Proven experience designing and delivering effective training programs.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning principles.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in e-learning tools and learning management systems (LMS).
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and drive improvements.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the AEC Industry or Oil and Gas sector is a added advantage.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and blended learning approaches.
