Job Title: Production Supervisor
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Location: Mahape, Navi Mumbai
Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Manager
Production Management
· Plan, organize, and supervise daily production operations to meet production schedules.
· Monitor production output and ensure timely completion of manufacturing targets.
· Allocate manpower, machines, and materials efficiently.
· Minimize downtime by coordinating with the maintenance team.
· Ensure optimal utilization of production resources.
Quality Control
· Ensure manufactured bus doors meet customer specifications and quality standards.
· Monitor adherence to quality procedures and inspection requirements.
· Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
· Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team for inspections and audits.
Team Supervision
· Supervise and motivate production operators, welders, fabricators, assemblers, painters, and helpers.
· Conduct daily shift meetings and assign work responsibilities.
· Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and performance.
· Train new employees on production processes, safety, and work instructions.
· Identify skill gaps and recommend training programs.
Safety & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory regulations.
· Promote the use of PPE and safe work practices.
· Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
· Report and investigate workplace accidents and near misses.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through 5S practices.
Inventory & Material Management
· Coordinate with Stores to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
· Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
· Verify production-related inventory records.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain production reports, shift reports, and daily output records.
· Record downtime, rejection, scrap, and rework data.
· Prepare MIS reports for management review.
· Ensure proper documentation of production processes and SOP compliance.
Required Qualifications
· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering,
. 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive, bus body building, sheet metal fabrication, or door manufacturing.
· Prior experience supervising production teams is preferred.
Required Skills
· Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing processes.
· Understanding of production planning and scheduling.
· Knowledge of quality systems and inspection methods.
· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM concepts.
· Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP/MRP systems.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
