Clinical & Patient Management
- Rounds & Admitting: Conduct thorough work-ups for newly admitted patients and brief the consultant on all lab reports and progress prior to senior rounds.
- Labor & Delivery: Cover the birthing suite, closely monitor fetal health (often using ultrasound), and assist consultants with deliveries and emergency surgeries.
- Emergencies: Act as the first in-house clinical responder to obstetric and gynecological emergencies (e.g., eclampsia, post-partum hemorrhage) in the triage or ER before escalating time-sensitive issues to the on-call consultant.
- Postoperative Care: Manage recovery for patients following gynecological and obstetric surgeries in the ward or ICU.
Administrative & Team Duties
- Supervision: Lead and support junior medical staff, resident doctors, and nursing teams, ensuring all clinical instructions are clearly executed.
- Documentation: Ensure case sheets are meticulously maintained and draft clear discharge summaries.
- Handover: Execute clear clinical handovers of patients when shifting between day and night on-call rosters.
Teaching & Research
- Education: Participate in the teaching and continuous training of medical students and allied health staff.
- Development: Contribute to departmental quality initiatives, clinical audits, and scientific research under the guidance of senior staff.
Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
