Store Executive — Roles & Responsibilities
A Store Executive is responsible for the day-to-day activities of material receiving, storage, inventory updating, material issue, documentation, and coordination to ensure smooth material availability for modular furniture production and projects.
1. Material Receiving
- Receive materials from suppliers against approved Purchase Orders.
- Check quantity, item description, specification, and condition.
- Verify delivery documents and coordinate with BSR/Store Supervisor.
- Report shortages, excess quantities, damages, or incorrect materials.
- Ensure received materials are properly identified and stored.
2. Material Storage
- Store materials in designated rack/bin/location.
- Maintain proper identification and labelling.
- Segregate materials by type, specification, project, or usage.
- Ensure safe stacking and handling.
- Protect materials from damage, moisture, dust, and deterioration.
- Maintain FIFO/appropriate stock rotation where applicable.
3. Material Issue
- Issue materials against approved material requisitions/work orders.
- Verify item, quantity, specification, and project before issue.
- Record all material issues accurately.
- Ensure only authorized personnel receive materials.
- Coordinate with Production and Planning for urgent requirements.
4. Inventory Management
- Maintain daily stock records.
- Update ERP/MIS transactions for receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
- Monitor stock levels of critical materials.
- Identify shortages and inform the Store Manager.
- Assist with physical stock counting and reconciliation.
5. Production Support
- Ensure production teams receive required materials on time.
- Coordinate with Planning and Production regarding material requirements.
- Prepare materials according to production priorities.
- Track pending material requests.
- Escalate material shortages that may affect production schedules.
6. Project-Wise Material Control
- Maintain project-wise material records where required.
- Ensure materials for different projects are properly segregated.
- Track issued quantities against project requirements.
- Coordinate with Project/Installation teams for special material requirements.
- Prevent unauthorized transfer of project materials.
7. Finished Goods Handling
- Receive finished furniture from Production/Assembly.
- Verify quantity and package identification.
- Store finished goods safely before dispatch.
- Maintain project-wise segregation.
- Coordinate with Dispatch & Logistics for dispatch readiness.
- Report damaged finished goods immediately.
8. Returns & Rejections
- Receive returned materials from Production or site.
- Record damaged, rejected, excess, or unused materials.
- Segregate rejected materials from usable stock.
- Coordinate with Quality/Purchase/Production for further action.
- Maintain records of returns and replacements.
9. Documentation
Maintain:
- Goods Receipt records
- Material Issue Slips
- Material Return records
- Stock registers
- Transfer records
- Rejection records
- Dispatch records
- Physical stock verification reports
10. Housekeeping & 5S
- Maintain clean and organized store areas.
- Keep materials in designated locations.
- Maintain clear aisles and access areas.
- Ensure proper stacking and labelling.
- Follow 5S and workplace safety procedures.
11. Material Handling & Safety
- Follow safe handling procedures for boards, furniture, hardware, and heavy materials.
- Use appropriate handling equipment.
- Ensure PPE requirements are followed.
- Prevent unsafe stacking and storage.
- Report accidents, damage, and unsafe conditions.
12. Coordination
The Store Executive coordinates regularly with:
Purchase → Planning → BSR → Production → Quality → Assembly → Dispatch → Installation
The objective is to ensure:
Right Material → Right Quantity → Right Location → Right Time

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹30,837.89 per month
