About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead our HR and Talent Acquisition function. The ideal candidate will bring strong team leadership capabilities along with hands-on expertise in sourcing and recruiting talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HR/recruitment executives to achieve hiring targets and departmental goals
- Own end-to-end sourcing strategy
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for all positions
- Partner with Client representatives to understand manpower requirements and translate them into hiring plans
- Drive process improvements in sourcing, screening, and onboarding to reduce time-to-hire
- Track and report key recruitment metrics (TAT, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness) to leadership
- Manage vendor/agency relationships and negotiate terms where required
- Ensure compliance with company policies and hiring regulations
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10 years of overall HR/Talent Acquisition experience, with at least 3–4 years in a team leadership capacity
- Proven hands-on experience in sourcing across multiple channels (portals, social media, referrals, agencies)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in shipping/maritime/logistics industry preferred, but not mandatory
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
