The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the theatre store by maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely receipt and issue of materials, and supporting all departments such as F&B, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Box Office, and Operations. The role requires strong inventory control, documentation, and coordination skills to ensure uninterrupted theatre operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials, food items, beverages, housekeeping supplies, maintenance materials, and other operational stock.
- Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, and balances using inventory software or Excel.
- Issue materials to departments against approved requisitions.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the purchase department for timely replenishment.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical stock verification.
- Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper storage of food products, beverages, cleaning chemicals, engineering materials, and consumables.
- Maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), stock registers, invoices, and purchase documentation.
- Report damaged, expired, slow-moving, or excess stock to management.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of the store area.
- Coordinate with vendors during material deliveries.
- Support internal and external inventory audits.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and minimize stock loss or wastage.
- Follow company SOPs, hygiene standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Any Degree or Diploma.
- Certification in Inventory or Store Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Store Keeper in a Cinema Theatre, Hotel, Restaurant, Retail, or Hospitality industry.
- Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software is preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
