Job Summary
Hotel Ganga is looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Restaurant Captain to supervise restaurant service operations and ensure guests receive a high-quality dining experience. The Restaurant Captain will lead the service team, coordinate daily operations, and maintain the highest standards of hospitality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesService Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of stewards, waiters, and service staff during shifts.
- Ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations during service hours.
- Monitor table setup, cleanliness, and overall dining area presentation.
- Allocate duties and sections to service staff.
Guest Service
- Welcome guests and assist with seating arrangements.
- Take guest orders when required and ensure accurate order processing.
- Address guest concerns, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure guests receive attentive and courteous service throughout their dining experience.
Team Coordination
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily specials, promotions, and operational updates.
- Train and guide service staff on service standards and procedures.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to management.
- Maintain discipline and teamwork within the service team.
Operational Responsibilities
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Ensure all orders are served accurately and promptly.
- Monitor table turnover and seating arrangements for efficient guest flow.
- Assist in maintaining restaurant inventory and service equipment.
Hygiene & Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations, dining areas, and equipment.
- Follow hotel safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, or banquet operations preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
- Fluency in English and Malayalam; Hindi is an added advantage.
