The candidate’s jobs and responsibilities will include:
1. Safety Audits & Inspections
- Conduct daily plant-wide inspections (machine shops, storage areas, utilities)
- Perform weekly safety audits and maintain statutory registers
2. Training & Drills
- Conduct toolbox talks and regular safety training sessions
3. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act and applicable industrial safety standards
4. Incident Management
- Investigate accidents/near-misses
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
5. Material Handling
- Supervise safe movement of heavy steel materials
- Ensure safe storage, rack loading, and clear walkways
6. Warehousing
- Manage material segregation and stacking
- Maintain emergency exits and oversee hazardous waste handling
7. CNC Machine Safety
- Implement and monitor machine guarding systems
8. EOT Crane Safety
- Ensure safe lifting and rigging practices
- Conduct inspections of cranes, wire ropes, brakes, and limit switches
- Verify load test certificates and certified operators
- Ensure compliance with IS standards
9. PPE Compliance
- Enforce 100% PPE usage (helmets, safety shoes, goggles, jackets)
- Manage PPE inventory and quality audits
10. Electrical Safety
- Monitor electrical panels and proper earthing systems
Prevent electrical hazards and fire risks
