We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draughtsman / Design Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise 3D models, P&IDs, flow diagrams, and workshop fabrication drawings for industrial process plants (specifically edible oil extraction plants and refineries). The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of engineering standards and be capable of generating accurate BOMs and BOQs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process & Plant Layouts: Prepare detailed flow diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for edible oil extraction plants and refineries.
- 3D Modeling & Drafting: Proficiently work with SolidWorks to develop high-quality 3D models and equipment designs.
- Fabrication Drawings: Develop accurate site layouts and workshop fabrication drawings in compliance with ISME / standard engineering practices.
- Civil & Layout Integration: Create civil foundation drawings and general arrangement (GA) layouts based on specific client requirements.
- Estimation & Documentation: Calculate precise Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for procurement, projects, and fabrication processes.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate closely with project managers, fabrication workshops, and clients to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Diploma or Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (3D) and AutoCAD (2D) is mandatory.
- Experience: Proven experience in designing process plant equipment, piping layouts, or heavy engineering fabrication.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and standard engineering symbols/tolerances.
