Job Title: IE Manager (Industrial Engineering Manager)

Location: Garments Manufacturing Unit
Job Purpose
To improve factory productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness by implementing Industrial Engineering techniques, optimizing production processes, balancing production lines, and ensuring the achievement of production targets with optimum resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Industrial Engineering department.
- Conduct SAM (Standard Allowed Minute) and SMV (Standard Minute Value) studies for all garment styles.
- Perform time and motion studies to improve productivity and eliminate waste.
- Plan and implement line balancing for maximum efficiency.
- Monitor line efficiency, productivity, absenteeism, and operator performance.
- Develop operation bulletins and machine layouts for new styles.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve production flow.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and Merchandising teams.
- Analyze production data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly IE reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and other productivity tools.
- Train supervisors and operators on best work methods and standard operating procedures.
- Support capacity planning, manpower planning, and production planning.
- Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, factory standards, and safety regulations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Apparel Production, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in garment manufacturing, including at least 3–5 years in an IE leadership role.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in SMV, SAM, time study, motion study, and line balancing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and productivity improvement techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and production reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve production targets.
