Job Summary:
The Demographics and Eligibility Verification Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring accurate patient demographic information and verifying eligibility for healthcare services. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in utilizing healthcare databases and software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurately input and maintain patient demographic information in the healthcare system, including personal details, insurance coverage, and contact information.
2. Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility for healthcare services through electronic eligibility verification systems, payer websites, or by making a call to the insurance companies
3. Determine patients' insurance benefits, including coverage limits, co-pays, deductibles, and any pre-authorization requirements for medical services.
4. Analyze demographic and insurance eligibility data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
5. Assist in claims processing by ensuring that patient demographic and insurance information is accurate and up-to-date.
6. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of eligibility verification activities, including communication with patients and insurance providers.
7. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA privacy and security requirements, in handling patient demographic and insurance information.
8. Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations, eligibility criteria, and billing requirements through ongoing training and professional development activities.
Preferred candidate profile:
1. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in patient demographics & eligibility verification in a US healthcare setting.
2. Should be comfortable working in the Night Shift.
3. Should have excellent communication skills and be willing to call the insurances to verify the patient's eligibility and benefits
4. Experience in ECW and Kareo is preferred
5. Should possess sound knowledge of medical terminology, insurance terminology, and healthcare billing processes.
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
7. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and billing software.
8. Understanding of healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
