Job Title: Furniture Consultant

Role Summary: As a Furniture Consultant, you will be the face of our showroom, serving as a trusted advisor to our customers. You will listen to their needs, understand their personal style and space constraints, and guide them toward the perfect furniture pieces to complete their homes. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with an eye for design and a commitment to delivering a luxurious customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Warmly greet customers as they enter the showroom, build genuine rapport, and actively listen to their needs, budget, and lifestyle requirements.
- Design & Product Expertise: Provide expert advice on furniture styles, fabrics, materials, color coordination, and spatial planning.
- Sales & Goal Achievement: Drive sales by presenting tailored furniture solutions, upselling complimentary pieces (e.g., rugs, lighting, accessories), and consistently meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets.
- Order Management: Accurately process sales transactions, generate quotes, and manage customer orders through our Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Customer Follow-Up: Maintain ongoing relationships with clients by keeping them updated on order statuses, coordinating delivery schedules, and following up post-delivery to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Showroom Excellence: Assist in maintaining the visual appeal of the showroom, ensuring that all floor displays are neat, properly tagged, and styled according to company standards.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with current interior design trends, new product launches, and vendor catalogs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or coursework in Interior Design, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong sense of style and an understanding of space planning and color theory.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to close sales and build a loyal client base.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally assist with moving small furniture items or floor sets.
