An assistant plant manager in a minerals processing company supports daily operations, manages production workflows, and ensures safety compliance. Key focus areas include supervising processing equipment, maintaining quality control, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Oversight: Coordinate crushing, grinding, separation, and mineral extraction processes to meet daily production targets.
- Maintenance Management: Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules for heavy industrial machinery like conveyors, crushers, and mills.
- Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and mentor shift supervisors, operators, and technical staff.
- Quality & Cost Control: Monitor mineral grade outputs, reduce material waste, and assist in managing the operational budget.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in mining, chemical, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of hands-on plant manufacturing, mineral processing, or heavy industrial operations experience.
- Skills: Strong equipment troubleshooting aptitude, knowledge of Lean manufacturing, and proficiency in MS Office/data analysis tools.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
