Job Summary
Are you a detail-oriented Engineer with a knack for numbers and a deep understanding of construction billing? We are looking for two experienced Senior QS & Billing Engineers to join our team in Jaipur. You will serve as the backbone of our project’s financial health, ensuring that every measurement—from earthwork to finishing—is accurate and every bill is processed on time.
With 4+ years of experience, you will handle the full lifecycle of billing, including the preparation of detailed Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), quantity take-offs, and seamless reconciliation between developers, contractors, and Project Management Consultants (PMC).
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Quantity Surveying & BBS: Prepare accurate take-offs from GFC/Shop drawings. Develop and verify comprehensive Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) to optimize steel consumption.
- Client & PMC Coordination: Prepare RA and final bills; coordinate directly with Developers and Project Management Consultants (PMC) for timely joint measurements and certification.
- Subcontractor Management: Verify subcontractor RA bills against actual site execution; handle material reconciliation (Cement, Steel, etc.) to minimize wastage.
- Measurement Accuracy: Conduct joint measurements on-site and maintain Measurement Books (MB) with 100% accuracy and supporting documentation.
- Rate Analysis: Identify variations and extra items beyond the BOQ; prepare detailed rate justifications for approval.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly MIS reports, cash flow projections, and maintain rigorous billing trackers.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of core experience in Quantity Surveying and Billing within the construction industry (Residential, Commercial, or Infrastructure).
- Education: B.Tech/BE in Civil Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD. Strong expertise in manual and Excel-based BBS preparation. Experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Candy, or Tally) is a plus.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of IS Codes, BOQ structures, and standard measurement methods.
- Traits: High attention to detail, strong negotiation skills for client/contractor coordination, and a problem-solving mindset.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain a billing and BBS accuracy of at least 98%.
- Ensure timely submission of RA bills to clients/PMCs to maintain project cash flow.
- Minimize turnaround time for subcontractor bill verification and reconciliation.
