Job Title: Ambulance Driver / Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) Driver
Reports To: MMU Supervisor / Program Manager
Job Summary:
The Ambulance Driver / MMU Driver is responsible for safely operating the Mobile Medical Unit vehicle, ensuring timely transportation of medical staff and equipment, maintaining the vehicle in good condition, and supporting healthcare service delivery in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the MMU/ambulance safely and responsibly according to assigned routes and schedules.
- Ensure timely arrival at service locations and healthcare camps.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain logbooks.
- Keep the vehicle clean, fuelled, and in roadworthy condition.
- Report vehicle faults, accidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Assist in loading and unloading medical equipment, medicines, and supplies.
- Support the healthcare team during outreach activities when required.
- Maintain all vehicle-related documents, permits, insurance, and registration records.
- Follow traffic regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during transportation, when applicable.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with patients and community members.
- Respond promptly during emergencies and assist the medical team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School (10th/12th Pass) or equivalent.
- Valid commercial driving license as per local regulations.
- Clean driving record with good knowledge of road safety rules.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience driving ambulances, healthcare vehicles, or commercial vehicles.
- Experience working in rural and community outreach programs is preferred.

- Ability to work in remote areas and under pressure.

Working Conditions:
- Extensive travel in urban and rural areas.

Pay: ₹10,776.57 - ₹18,000.00 per month
