An accountant for a community rehabilitation centre manages day-to-day financial operations, billing, payroll, and grant tracking. They ensure the facility remains compliant with healthcare regulations and tax laws while providing financial reporting to support the centre's operational sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue & Billing: Process patient invoices, manage insurance claims, and track accounts receivable to optimize cash flow.
- Payroll & Compensation: Process bi-weekly or monthly staff payroll, including therapist/doctor payouts, bonuses, and tax deductions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze standard financial statements like Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Budgeting & Grants: Assist management with annual budgeting and track specific expenses for community grants, non-profit funding, or specialized care programs.
- Compliance & Auditing: Handle statutory compliances (e.g., GST, TDS, and other local regulations) and support internal and external audits.
- Vendor & Inventory Management: Oversee accounts payable, process vendor invoices for rehabilitation equipment, and reconcile bank statements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications like a CPA or CA are a strong plus.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or Xero).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare accounting, medical billing, and non-profit/NGO finance is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strict adherence to patient data confidentiality, and excellent analytical skills.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
