Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Executive to join our Quality Control team. The role is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, in-process materials, and finished Spirulina products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines through laboratory testing, documentation, and quality monitoring.
Key Responsibilities Raw Material Quality Control
- Perform sampling of incoming raw materials as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct visual and sensory inspections.
- Verify supplier Certificates of Analysis (COA) against internal specifications.
- Perform analytical testing where applicable.
- Release or reject raw materials based on quality specifications.
In-Process Quality Control
- Collect and test samples during different stages of production.
- Perform moisture analysis, UV spectrophotometric analysis (E1%), bulk density testing, and sensory evaluation (colour, odour, and appearance).
- Record test results accurately and report any deviations immediately.
Finished Product Testing
- Conduct physical tests including appearance, colour, odour, foreign matter, particle size, and bulk density.
- Perform chemical tests including moisture, E1% by UV spectrophotometer, pH, and ash content.
- Ensure finished products comply with quality specifications before release.
Laboratory Operations
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Moisture Analyzer, pH Meter, Analytical Balance, Incubator, and Freeze Dryer.
- Perform routine calibration and verification of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Documentation
- Maintain laboratory worksheets, test reports, instrument logbooks, calibration records, sample retention records, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Ensure all quality records are accurate, complete, and maintained according to company procedures.
Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
Experience
- 0–1 year of experience in a food, nutraceutical, or Spirulina manufacturing laboratory.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of UV spectrophotometric analysis.
- Understanding of GMP, GLP, HACCP, and food safety systems.
- Good laboratory documentation practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: ₹8,316.43 - ₹36,891.04 per month
