Vocal Music Teacher – Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct vocal music classes for students of different grades.
- Teach basic and advanced singing techniques, voice modulation, rhythm, and pitch.
- Prepare lesson plans according to the school curriculum and academic calendar.
- Train students in songs for assemblies, annual day programs, competitions, and cultural events.
- Encourage student participation in music activities and build confidence in stage performance.
- Identify students with musical talent and provide additional guidance when required.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment during music sessions.
- Teach proper use and care of musical instruments and audio equipment, if applicable.
- Coordinate with class teachers and school management for events and performances.
- Conduct regular practice sessions and rehearsals for school functions.
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback on performance and participation.
- Maintain attendance, performance records, and activity reports as required by the school.
- Ensure students follow safety and school behaviour guidelines during classes and events.
- Promote appreciation of music, creativity, teamwork, and cultural values among students.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and other assigned duties as instructed by the management.
