Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and statutory compliance across the API plant. Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace hazard identification. Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) requirements, Hazardous Waste Rules, and other applicable environmental regulations. Monitor safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and wastes. Conduct risk assessments (JSA/HIRA) and recommend preventive and corrective actions. Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and implement CAPA. Organize safety training, induction programs, toolbox talks, mock drills, and emergency preparedness activities. Monitor PPE compliance, work permit systems (Hot Work, Height Work, Confined Space, Electrical Isolation, etc.), and contractor safety. Coordinate environmental monitoring, emissions, effluent management, and waste management activities. Ensure compliance with fire safety systems, emergency response plans, and first-aid preparedness. Maintain EHS records, statutory registers, reports, and documentation. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, QA, HR, and external agencies for EHS initiatives and regulatory inspections.
