Job Description: Creative Head – eKalakaar
Education: Graduate from a reputed institute such as National School of Drama (NSD) or
equivalent recognized performing arts/creative institution.
Location: Work from Office (Thane)
Employment Type: Full-Time (6 days a week)
Experience Required: 3–5 Years creative direction, performance curation, scriptwriting, or a similar role in the arts/entertainment/events industry.
Role Overview
eKalakaar is looking for a passionate and experienced Creative Manager to lead and oversee
all creative operations at eKalakaar. This role sits at the intersection of artistic vision and
operational execution, the ideal candidate will curate performances, write and refine scripts,
ensure creative output aligns with client expectations, and act as the primary liaison
between artists and the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Curation: Identify, select, and curate performances/acts that align with
eKalakaar's brand and client requirements.
- Script & Content Writing: Write, edit, and refine scripts, performance narratives, and
creative briefs for various events and engagements.
- Client Alignment: Work closely with clients to understand their vision and ensure all
performances and creative deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
- Artist Coordination: Serve as the key point of contact for artists, managing
rehearsals, schedules, briefings, and on-ground coordination.
- Creative Process Ownership: Own the end-to-end creative pipeline, from concept
development to final execution, ensuring quality and consistency across all projects.
- Quality Control: Review performances and creative outputs at various stages to
maintain eKalakaar's artistic standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with production, operations, and
business development teams to ensure smooth event/project execution.
- Talent Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with independent artists,
fostering a collaborative and supportive creative environment.
- Feedback & Improvement: Gather feedback from clients and artists postperformance to continuously refine creative processes.
Skills:
o Theatre direction
o Strong scriptwriting and storytelling ability
o Deep understanding of performing arts and creative processes
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage artists and clients
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
o Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining creative quality
o Basic understanding of production/event logistics is a plus

- Prior experience working with independent artists or in an artist management setup
- A well-established network within the performing arts community
