Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Maintain General Ledger and ensure accurate accounting records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Verify journal entries, ledger balances, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely bank, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations.
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
- Monitor production costs, material consumption, and manufacturing overheads.
- Prepare Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
- Maintain inventory valuation as per accounting standards.
- Reconcile raw material, WIP (Work-in-Progress), finished goods, and scrap.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Purchase, and Supply Chain teams for inventory and cost control.
- Analyze product-wise profitability and manufacturing variances.
Inventory Management
- Verify stock movements and inventory records.
- Coordinate physical stock verification and cycle counts.
- Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper accounting of fixed assets and depreciation.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory returns.
- Prepare data for statutory, internal, GST, and tax audits.
- Maintain compliance with Companies Act and applicable accounting standards.
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.
Budgeting & MIS
- Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
- Support annual budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Perform variance analysis of budget versus actual performance.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization.
Internal Controls
- Strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce financial risk.
Team Management
- Supervise and guide junior accountants and finance executives.
- Review accounting entries prepared by team members.
- Provide training and support for ERP and accounting processes.
Educational Qualification
- B.Com (Mandatory)
- M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter (Preferred)
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, and statutory compliance.
Technical Skills
- Tally Prime / SAP / Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics / ERP Software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, Financial Functions).
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Cost Accounting.
- Working knowledge of ERP-based inventory and production accounting.
